Cyril Smith as "Morgan Brown"

Cyril Smith is an up and coming Voice Over Artist and Actor.  He’s done numerous commercials and independent films after getting his start voicing political campaign commercials for John Lehman, a democratic candidate for Governor in Wisconsin.  He is currently the voice of the Max Madsen series that you hear on 107.5 WGCI and B96.  He also narrated a yet to be released documentary on The Cabrini Green Housing Project that will be distributed nationwide in 2009.  Cyril has various projects coming up, so you will be hearing and seeing a lot more of him in the coming year. He’s very excited to play the lead character of Morgan Brown “In the Other Side of the Game” with

Tiffini Funches as "Delia"

Tiffini Funches has been pursuing acting for 18 years. She's been cast in many plays held in local theatres and has acted in many independent films that have been submitted to film festivals. Her speaking part in "The Lakehouse" starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, has afforded her the priveledge to join the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the most renown union for all of Hollywood's actors. Her credentials are not only acting in front of the camera but directing behind the scenes as well. She's directed a few independent films including a kids TV pilot entitled "Danny Donuts" in 2005 and co-directed a comedic feature film entitled "My Phamily BBQ" in 2003, which is currently being sold at Blockbuster Video and other video stores. In 2006, the Lord has blessed her with her own production company, Your Majesty Entertainment (YME), where she is the writer, director, producer and lead female actress for biblical stageplays that she puts on annually. Her favorite scripture for this career is Proverbs 18:16 "A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men." God bless.

 Lester Knighten as "Fred"

 

Lester Knighten was born in Chicago where he took an early interest in the arts and fashion.   He was able to travel extensively as a younger man and his style is influenced by fashion taste from around the world.  His early endeavors into the arts included small theater productions, ventures into radio and he even lead "Lester's Blues Band" as its manager and lead singer.   After a hiatus, Lester's most recent activities have included a role in the successful stage play "Infinite Dreamer" by Nyacies (Mr. Crook), and "Urban Relations (Jeramiah)  by Elizabeth Nonie Sanders.  Lester currently works in the real estate mortgage industry and runs his own real estate centered business call J.A.  SISTAL Enterprises.


Doris Walker as "Christy"

Doris Walker, a native of Denver, Colorado , has distinguished herself on radio, television and film. Doris majored in Speech Communications as a President’s Honor Roll student at Metropolitan State College of Denver focusing on Broadcast Journalism. As a child, she realized her love for broadcasting by swearing off cartoons and strictly studying The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Doris’ onscreen career began as a child in 1986 with a guest spot on Rappin’ About AIDS and the follow-up film, Cold Chillin’ (1988).
Over the years, she has also been featured prominently in diverse TV projects, radio broadcasts, and on-stage dance performances. For the past 2 years, Doris co-hosted the #1 Underground Urban Music broadcast, The Eclipse Show (Denver, CO ) but relocated to Chicago

to pursue her dream of both writing and acting. In June 2009, Doris will be making her big screen debut along side Eddie Murphy in Nowhereland. Doris is thrilled to be a part of The Other Side of The Game and honored to work with this brilliant cast for her on-stage debut. She hopes to be a part of many productions in the future and wishes to positively impact the lives of everyone she meets.

Nadirah Lugg as "Kim"

Born and raised in Chicago’s South Side, Nadirah was bitten by the acting bug in elementary and high school. She decided to pursue her theater studies at University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and received her B.A. in Speech Communication. During her last two years on campus, she joined the social issues theater group, Inner Voices. Upon graduation, she returned back to Chicago and joined the renowned acting school, Chicago’s Actor Studio and performed in their production of Williams Inge’s, Glory in the Flower. Her love of theater, television and movies inspired her to currently write her own screenplay. Her determination to be self-sufficient motivated her to own and operate Windy Blue Transportation, Inc.; while pursuing her master’s degree in Technology and Education at Chicago State University. Last but not least, her passion for creative designs and styles propped her to showcase her creative talents of couture fashion with her husband and business partner under the name of T.O.N.I.T.A.Y.L.O.R.

 Mary Ivy as "Erica" 
 Mary is a Chicago native who is not a stranger to the stage.  She has been performing since the age of two with several community and professional theater companies.  Mary has done various shows such as The Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Tosca and Hansel and Gretel and Talent, Jesus Christ Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors and Chicago to name a few. 
She has worked with her high school and the a local YMCA to run a performing arts and wellness program for the under served youths on the southwest side of Chicago.
Mary is a graduate of The Chicago Academy for the Arts where she studied Musical Theater and later went on to receive her degree in Psychology from Governors State University.  She is currently a graduate student at Loyola University.  
When not working on or behind stage she is a proud mother of four beautiful children Kyla, Jordan, Ryan and Elijah and husband Robert who have been her biggest fans.

 Wendy Brickhouse as " Desiree"
 

Wendy Brickhouse is a native of Chicago’s West side. She has been using her talent of singing for many years. She’s sung in places like The Indiana Star Plaza, Chicago’s suburban Joe River Center, and several times in the 10,600 seat auditorium better known as the House of Hope. Wendy has written and recorded songs of her own. This year Wendy has vowed to broaden her horizon of talent. June 21st 2008 marked Wendy first stage debut as an actress in the successful stage play “No Billy-goat, No Nothing”. In the month of August Wendy performed in the role of the “Light Angel” to promote for the stage play “The Infinite Dreamer”. In these performances Wendy merged two of her passions; singing and acting on one stage. This is one of her dreams made into reality. Wendy will be making her next mark on this industry in the Stage Play “The Other Side of the Game”, as she portrays the character “Desiree”.




Taroniah Rice as "Contessa"

Taroniah is a dynamic musical force that lives and breaths to perform. From R&B & Gospel, to Alternative, Taroniah exudes warmth, power and grace. As a fantastic actress, singer and writer Taroniah's soul stirring performances are memorable and moving. This up and coming talent already has a list of credits which include: Mama, Can't you See Chicago State University Theater, Performing and touring with the 'Chicago Mass Choir', Rockin' House Records singles: Nothing Holds Me Down, So Much Love and You Gotta Give, Performing with The Night Fever band, as well as being a Finalist in the Chicago Star Search competition among other accomplishments!

Candice Hudson as "Lachon"

Candice is a junior at Hyde Park  Career Academy where she's involved in a host of extracurricular activies.  She has played roles other plays such as  The Land of UZ and Ester 4:16 produced by Your Majesty Entertainment. The Other Side of the Game will be her third stage performance and she is thrilled to be a part of this wonderful cast.
