Stacey Buford as "Leslie"

Stacey Buford, a native of Benton Harbor, MI has always had a passion for entertaining.  Coming from a talented family, she became acquainted with performing at a very young age.  Being encouraged by family, friends and so many others led her to take drama classes and became an actress with Bridges Theater and Workshop where she was trained under the leadership of Mike Nadolski. Stacey’s performances with Firahs B Productions have included the role of "Camille" in The Judge's Personal Dilemma and "Veronica" in The Anchored Man.  Stacey has done various plays in Michigan such as Yahweh Productions gospel stage play David’s Reunion where she played the role of "Sheila", and was also cast as "Kellie" in A Real Woman’s Worth.  Stacey will also play the role of "Bonnie" in an upcoming Yahweh Productions gospel stage play Lawd Can you Help a Sista Out in Benton Harbor.  Stacey also landed the lead female role of "Melanie" in the film Hero.  You can also see her in movies such as The Wardrobe and Ballsy and 21st Century Hip Hop Video When the Streets Cry. Stacey is a student at University of Phoenix majoring in Criminal Justice and is an actress with One Source Talent in Chicago.  Stacey Philosophy is “Never give up on your dream” and “Always keep God first”.

 

Geralyn Johnson as "Tiffani"


Geralyn is a native of the Chicago area.  Geralyn performed as a youth with the Emmett Till Players.  She also performed in plays and competed on her high school Speech Team in Humorous Interpretation; that team went on to win the State Competition in 1990.  Geralyn is a Child Development Specialist specializing in Infants and Toddlers with and without special needs.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from Western Illinois University and her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Governors State University.  Geralyn enjoys traveling, reading, films, and spending time with family and friends; especially her 9 nieces and nephews. She volunteers in several organizations including Habitat for Humanity, PADS homeless shelter and is a board member for the Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation.  Geralyn imagines the world as a better place without malice, hatred, or strife.  She truly believes that “God is Love and Love is the Answer” to every situation.

 

Mary Deans as "Nefertiti"

 


 Mary is a Chicago native who is not a stranger to the stage.  She has been performing since the age of two with several community and professional theater companies.  Mary has done various shows such as The Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Tosca and Hansel and Gretel and Talent, Jesus Christ Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors and Chicago to name a few. 
She has worked with her high school and the a local YMCA to run a performing arts and wellness program for the under served youths on the southwest side of Chicago. She played the role of "Erica" for Firahs B Productions first stage play The Other Side of the Game in 2008. She also served as the stage manager for the last two Firahs B stage plays The Judge's Personal Dilemma and The Anchored Man. Mary is a graduate of The Chicago Academy for the Arts where she studied Musical Theater and later went on to receive her degree in Psychology from Governors State University.  She is currently a graduate student at Loyola University.  When not working on or behind stage she is a proud mother of two beautiful children who have been her biggest fans.

Kyrie Anderson as "Amber"

 
 


Kyrie is excited to be a part of this production . You may have seen her previously in productions out of Northwest Indiana such as Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, and Doubt. Kyrie recently won Hoosier Star in 2009 with the LaPorte County Civic Orchestra and has also had the opportunity to perform at the Star Plaza Theatre and High School Musical. This is her first of hopefully many performances to come in Chicago. She thanks Brian for the opportunity to be a saucy Latina and thanks the cast for being the highlight of her week!

  Dwain Lytle as "Michael"

Dwain Lytle, "Wain", is single handedly the most contagiously charismatic individual that you will ever meet. Born and raised in Chicago, Wain always took an interest in the performing arts. “I would watch movies when I was a kid and study the characters; remembering the lines and performing for all of my family and friends--- I never felt such ecstasy from performing and seeing their reactions I was memorized.” The self proclaimed “Class Clown” went on to graduate from Morehouse University with a degree in English. While still in school, he could not deny the acting bug any longer as he was a steady participate in student films.  He landed his first leading role in the independent film, “What doesn’t kill you…” which he also helped to direct.  “It was such a great challenge for me because it allowed me to really step outside of my character by portraying a serial killer!” After completing college, Dwain returned back home to further pursue his passion for acting. He enrolled in intense Adult Drama Classes at Act One Studios and studied at ETA. He has been seen on stage with leading roles in productions such as The Parting and Every Goodbye Ain’t Gone. Wain has been featured in other films such as ATL , Love in Chains and Better off Alive.  Wain is looking forward to performing in London this upcoming summer. Wain’s other hobbies include playing poker, “I love Poker! I host poker games every weekend and screenwriting “I’m working diligently so that I will be able to complete a few scripts this year.” Cerebral and meticulous in his pursuit of perfection Wain continues to work hard at studying his craft and honing his skills; “I understands that I must continue to learn as much as I can about the art, so no matter how good I become or how far I  go--- I will always be a student of acting.” 

 

Carl Weatherspoon Jr. as "Ramone"


A native of Gary, Indiana, Carl attended nearby Purdue University. The oldest of one brother and two sisters Carl currently resides in Merrillville,Indiana.  Carl attended college where he received a baseball and track scholarship. He double majored in Computer Technology and African American studies so he could become well rounded. Along with playing two Big Ten sports, Carl was also active in the Black Student Union where he was webmaster, NAACP, and also Vice President for the National Pan-Hellenic Council which is the governing body for African American fraternities and sororities. Carl is currently working on his MBA online with the University of Phoenix and he plans to graduate May 2011. Carl’s awards and activities are extensive so here are a few: Purdue Education Grant (2002- 2006), Corvette Club Scholarship (2002-2006), Four sport lettermen in high school (1999- 2002) and two sport lettermen at Purdue University (2002 – 2006).


During 2002- 2009, Carl successfully runs Supa Sportz, Inc. which provides custom workouts for athletes and students. Carl successfully founded and ran the company. Carl has over 30 clients on his roster. During 2003 – 2006, Carl was a part-time volunteer coach for his high school alma mater. He assisted with practices, conditioning, and scheduled games. Carl influenced kids to pursue collegiate athletics. During 2006- 2009, Carl was a skills demonstrator for a baseball coaches clinic camp held at the Genesis Convention Center. It was over 200 kids ages 10- 18 in attendance. Carl has one daughter Khalia 2 years old.  He currently works with the Chicago White Sox in the Media Relations Department. Carl has been involved in many stage plays and fashion shows such as My Mama Prayed and Prayed, See What God Can Do, Ballys Total Fitness Commercial shot, Nike, CLEON vs NORAL 2010 fashion show, and many more.

 

Thurston Hill as "Terry"

 

 

Cast in his first leading role as "Hansel" in "Hansel and Gretel" theater production at the historic Paramount Theater in Aurora, IL at the age of seven, Thurston hasn't stopped performing since. Thurston Hill was born in Chicago. His childhood performances where he showed great range as a young actor included Hansel and Gretel, Alice in Wonderland, Rumpelstiltskin and The Witch of the West just to name a few. After graduating from high school, Thurston enrolled at Southern Illinois University Carbondale where he studied medicine in plans of becoming a pediatrician. During his college tenure he starred in productions like Husband & Wife, Lights Out after Dark, Ask Your Momma & Faking the Funk. Even with being heavily involved in sports and a fraternity he continued to show his skills as an actor and hunger as a student of acting.

With his acting versatility, strikingly handsome & talented Thurston has no problem getting roles as an actor and a model.  He made his first big screen appearance in "The Beast" (2008) with Patrick Swayze, filming three episodes as a FBI Agent.Thurston was also cast in two Indie films which he is the lead actor in "Slices of Life: Amber Alert which he portrayed detective Lamont Johnston and the horror "Don't look in the Basement" as Samson a lobotomized mental patient. Thurston portrayed Maserati Rick in the reenactments in the A&E Documentary "Gangland" about the Notorious Detroit Gangster and also is in "Fancy Pants" as a funeral attendee. Thurston also continued his theater roots playing Warren in "Beautiful Rhetoric" which debuted at the Abbie Hoffman Festival. Thurston also modeled in campaigns for Coke Zero, Ecko Clothing, Du-val & Lil Kim's: The Catwalk is on Fire, Office Max commercial & Chicago Science Campaign: Life is a Science, where he was featured on the side of the Museum of Science & Industry and on trains and buses throughout the city.

He continues to work in Chicago as an actor ranging from film to theater.
